2020 State of the Seals Email

Dear Seals,

Who knew that 2020 would be such an interesting year for the Seals. We have so
much uncertainty around us as adults and our kids are feeling it too.
School is postponed, sports teams are cancelling, churches are televising on
Facebook and who knows when we will be able to buy extra toilet paper.

With all the unease, we wanted to take a minute and let you know what we are planning for the Seals. As of today, we are preparing to host our regular season,
with Rookie camp starting on April 13th, practice starting on April 20th and our Black and Green meet on the 9th of May. We have tentatively scheduled an in-person registration to be held on April 4th, but we will be playing this by ear. I would ask
that for all those who are able to, please go on and register online so that we
can minimize social contact and understand the number of new and returning
swimmers that we have. Please know that we will communicate as quickly as
we can as things change or firm up. Be on the lookout for emails and
Facebook posts.

Regarding the Crawfish Boil scheduled for April 4th, we are making the hard
choice and cancelling it for 2020. At this point, we cannot confirm that
we would be able to reschedule it and we cannot responsibly hold it on April 4th.We are currently looking for the best way to handle refunds from ticket sales and will be communicating to you regarding the Crawfish Ticket Refund shortly. Should there be a need, we will look for alternative ways to raise money for this season. Thank you for your understanding and patience as things resolve.

Please continue to register as we believe that a good swim season is something that
our kids and our community can look forward to and be excited about. We will be continuing to update this list as we learn more about any guidance given to swim teams. Should you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to me directly.

Thanks,

Eddie Hamner
