Seals WIN!

Happy Mother’s Day Seals!

We won our meet yesterday 803.5 to 666.5.  Thank you all that stayed until the end to swim your events, especially being at an away meet.  For those that left (15/18 girls you know who you are) without telling me… I won’t forget that, and neither will the one girl that stayed until the end, event 79.

We had a few of team records broken, some 10+ years old,  but we’re waiting for some of the results from yesterday to get fixed before we start updating our online board and changing plates for our record board at the pool.  If you see any results that are way off, please let me know.  I’ve already caught #46 and I’m hoping that’s all.  You can view the results under the "Meet Entries/Results" tab, same tab you click on to hopefully also select your events for meets.

Also yesterday, we had a small group of families show up at a gated section of Coles Crossing.  Apparently the address you put in your GPS was one digit off and it made a huge difference where you ended up.  But you made it!

The other team had some major computer problems and we are taking notes this week and next to avoid those issues at our first home meet on 5/27 against Windrose.  One thing that can help with getting the meet started on time, is getting to the meet, get checked in ASAP, pull your sheets, highlight your relays and get warmed up.  If you’re in the first 1-6 events head straight to the ready bench as soon as we are done with team cheer, and relays be ready to get lined up.

Please select your three events for the next Saturday’s meet, away vs Northampton.  This team is only 15 minutes or so away once you get on 99 (another opportunity to tour the Grand Parkway).  Northampton a large team just like us, and they have a year-round team they feed in to that swims in the same pool coached by the same coaches.  We were able to put up some great times against them last season and almost pulled the upset.  Use the RSVP feature to leave comments and tell me you need to leave the meet early.  If you aren’t swimming, go ahead and RSVP “no” so we aren’t hunting you down all week.  This is a great team and I expect the meet to complete sooner than this past weekend’s meet.

See you at the pool!

Go Seals!
