Seals!

This Saturday is our practice meet.  Attending this meet is very important to get times for the rest of the season.  You must have times to swim at a normal dual meet, which begins next Saturday.  We have 40 Seals that haven’t declared whether they’d be there or not Saturday and need to go online and do this ASAP.  This is due every Wednesday and will begin closing on Wednesdays.  You can do this now for the rest of the entire season and make me a very happy person. 

If you cannot make the meet this weekend, then we will get your times taken care of next week. 

• Set-up opens at 6:30, please leave room for the set-up volunteers to go back and forth on sidewalks and pool deck.
• Check-In (which everyone must do) will begin no later than 7:00.
• Warm-Ups are from 7:15-7:45
• 6&Unders go first, and then we ascend by age group getting about 5 minutes each to do a couple laps and work on a start or two.  Make sure to have some towels ready for the little swimmers, it will be chilly in the morning!
• There will be an Officials Meeting at some point.
• There will also be a timer/volunteer meeting at some point.
• Swim Meet starting by 8:30 (may start sooner since there is no visiting team).

This season we are forming a “Seal Buddy” system for experienced 11&Up swimmers to match up with 6&Under swimmers.  Experienced?  This just means they have swam before, and are willing to help our little guys at practices and swim meets.  Please send Susie an email at [email protected] and let her know your 11&Up swimmers name, age, and if they know of a 6&under they want to be matched up with, their name also.  We will also be asking the kids at practices if they are interested in this too.

On Fridays, at the end of each practice, we will have a pep-rally working on our team cheers and some sort of craft for 10-15 minutes.
