WIN, practice, scribes, entries

Seals!

WooooHoooo we had a great first meet!  It went a little longer than expected, but ended with a sweet victory!  If you look at your seed time compared to your final time this weekend, I am sure most of you will see a drop just from your time trials time two weeks ago which is great.  Focus on not DQ'ing and dropping time, and the wins will continue.

With that being said, this weekend's AWAY meet is against Northampton Barracudas.  They are a great team and one of the two teams we face this season that practices year-round with the same coaches.  So you can expect them to be fast and smart about their races.

With that being said, please select your events online and come to practice as the weather permits and let's swim strong!  I won't be at the meets the next two weekends because of work but I will be watching the results get uploaded online as we go (torture).

Also, parents that volunteer to scribe.  You can be the biggest help to the rest of the team and the volunteers that do computers by ensuring the kid that steps out of the water is the kid's who's times you are writing next to their name.  It seems small but it your job has a huge impact.  We had a few mistakes, I'm sure it was allllll Fairfield volunteers  ;)  ,   that wrote times in the wrong spot, which throws off the times for allllllll the kiddos in heats after.  Which turns in to an email from a parent.  Which turns in to a response.  Then investigation by looking through the stack of scribe sheets from entire meet. Then problem is found. Wrong ribbon label has already been printed.  Wrong swimmer got wrong ribbon.  Replied to the email.  Made a new ribbon.  Changed results online.  I probably missed a few things but you get the point.

If you have any questions please let me know.  Entries are due WEDNESDAY BY NOON like every week now so please get this done.  If you are having trouble logging in or don't know how to do this yet please let me know now and not Wednesday when we are forming relays and evening out individual events.
